Sanctuary in Mandai:)

August 12, 2008 · 1 Comment

Yes i went to the Zoo! marvellous place if you ask me. its a beautiful little piece of land with so many exotic animals. baby and i have always wanted to go to the zoo together, its a nice place for young couples to visit. many hot mamas with their adorable little kids were spotted, apart from the usual tourists and couples. thanks to baby’s absolutely efficient map reading skills, we managed to tour the whole zoo entirely by foot within 3.5 hours-now thats efficient, we took millions of photos of all the animals we saw. pictures to elaborate, more at facebook if interested:)

The lovely company.

that’s me at the entrance, baby’s photography skills are brilliant, you’ll see the proof later on.

the tickets were expensive.

The Onisuka tigers and adidas for comfort!

Baby made yummy ham and egg sandwiches for lunch!

Next up, Our FAVOURITE animal and the highlight of our entire zoo trip, the magnificent white tiger!

IT IS SO SO SO CUTE, OMG, GASP.

I simply love cats, big or small, so you can imagine my excitment when i saw them.

baby(My Fav Cat!) with his relative. C U T E<3

It was so pretty, we spent about 40 minutes there because we walked back specially again during the feeding time. there were three of them, baby and i found them absolutely adorable and pretty. these tigers are white because they have a unique gene in them that gives them a distinctive cream and brown colour with alluring blue eyes. Majestic cats calls for royal attention, their den is the most scenic, spacious and well maintained in the entire zoo. When it came close to their feeding time at 2.20, baby and i headed back to them after exploring the entire zoo for a last peek at them. Omar, the male tiger was exceptionally smart and was able to catch hold of its food thrown by the keeper. I LOVE the white tigers! (We actually have a million more photos of them!)

Not neglecting the many other animals we visited as well!

Only the Singapore zoo has such pretty signboards.

we had ice cold water all the way thanks to baby’s camel bag water pack that my dear baby carried all the way, LOVE!

And since we paid for them, we decided to take a tram ride round half of the zoo although we had already toured the entire Zoo. yes, WE walked, im getting better at this! imma active girl!

We ended the fulfilling date we had at the zoo with Ben & Jerry’s mix n match!!

A much deserved treat before heading back to baby’s house to freshen up.

Chocolate mint, Chunky monkey and Strawberry cheesecake with hot fugde, rainbow bits and M&Ms!

It was pure bliss, YUMMY!

Baby loves taking unglam photos of me eating.

On the whole, it was yet another marvellous day spent with my love, many more to come!

Finally we had a simple dinner before i had to head home, im meeting baby again in less than 24 hours, wheeee! gotta meet up as much as possible before he starts school next week.

Toodles!

Sun loving summer!

July 13, 2008 · Leave a Comment

well well i love the summer. summer term, sun, bf friends and summer sales:):)

speaking of sales, i shall take a moment to put on my bimbotic cap for just a brief moment. Its so so sweet of baby to share his GST offset package with poor 20 year old me who gets NOTHING from the govt. im sure i heard you ‘below 21 yearers’ SCREAM in harmony. but that aside, it started with me getting really tempted to get these:

Then baby decided to get it for me!! yikes! ima happy girl!

Do visit http://tubee.livejournal.com for absolutely adorable, pretty, versatile and most importantly reasonably priced clothing! I love their clothes and how versatility is showcased by the models completed with ideal accessories and even fashion advices. fret not even if item runs out fast due to popularity, backorders are done swiftly and seamlessly, to the extend that you would not even notice it went out of stock for a while! They even introduced a contest, word, puzzles etc for cxs to solve which would then entitle them for a discount if correctly solved! how cool is that? I know i got you girls and guys out there tempted.

Meanwhile, baby has been occupied with school now that term is starting soon. Now at least i do not feel as guilty about being so busy all the time with excel projects for business stats and MA.

thats all for now!

Shopping spreeee:)

June 28, 2008 · 6 Comments

oh my i’ve been shopping a lot lately. nope i dun mean online shopping or window shopping because the former two are unlikely to cause any harm to my wallet. its against my principles to buy clothes online and you dun purchase anything when you window shop. what all of that means is that i’ve been walking all over town fishing out the cheapest and most worth while bargains. Tops, bottoms, bikinis, you name it, i’ve relentlessly racked cartloads of them. I love how shopping makes all troubles go away like this* tell me all about retail therapy. look at what i came back with:)

well, yeah i know im having my summer term now but that does’nt deny me the right to take some time off to enjoy my supposed summer holidays. so after my human resource and organisational behaviour paper was over, i headed straight to the malls to sweat it out. Now that two modules are completed, im only left with two, Management Accounting and Statistical decison. i have an insatiable need to work doubly hard to make sure i get myself on the dean’s list just like smart smart baby:) (Im so proud of him!) i’ve already completed 62 credits out of the required 120 and im getting increasing proud of myself and the fact that i could not get into a local U is beggining to bug me less and less. baby’s support and bitching sessions with with my friends have helped me loads in overcoming that insecurity in me. i would not deny that it still hurts when im reminded of the dream i could never see coming in this life. but, having baby alongside me and all my UB classmates spuring each other on has made me realise that love and care from the ppl we love beats 4 years in a local undergrad degree a million times over. Baby is very supportive of me and spurs me on all the time, and for that im really glad that someone up there gave me something that is worth so much more to me than anything else including a place in a local U.

Back to shopping, oh my i’ve been to ZARA, MNG and its madness. clothe hangers and clothes all over the place, on the floor and in front of mirrors. people everywhere were trying to pull over the tops or bottoms that they wish to purchase because queues for the fitting room was monsterously long! i queued for almost 40 minutes man, just for two tops and a bottom. but but but, despite all of that, im glad i’ve only spent about $80 up to date and i’ve got in total, one dressy top, one spag top and one nautical stripes tee from ZARA, a spag top, a printed Tunic from MNG as well as a Pair of PRETTY pink beach shorts from Pull and Bear. all under the 80 bucks! i’m good at fishing out absolute bargains as baby always says! anyway everyone should make a trip down to the above shops mentioned, they have absolute bargains ranging from 9.90-below 99 each. pull and bear has quite a few bargains at 15.90 and 29.90. wear a simple camisole and tights like i did and you can even beat the long long queues in the fitting rooms! (i was clever the second time round) lastly, Be sure to check for furrings, broken stiches or overstretched pieces as most sale items cannot be exchanged or refunded. Hurry Hurry, sizes run out fast and i had a hard time fishing out my s and xs pieces! Three cheers for GSS!

I know that he loves me cos he told me so.

A Capital B for a Blast:)

May 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Had a blast of a day with my babes on friday :) im so glad that we’re still making so much effort to meet up! i get really excited when i get to meet my babes and i feel insecure when we have not met up in a long time, haha :) they are a really funky batch of people i absolutely love hanging out with. and we’ve been best of friends ever since J1 so we’ve been besties for almost three months now!

we went to yoshi (as usual) for lunch and then went off to shop at Taka, wisma and centrepoint and others, even tried on lingerie! haha finally reached our pitstop at starbucks for our or rather my tired feet to take a much appreciated rest. BUT everything was so expensive that rach and i ended up taking to them and admiring them rather than buying them! i love my babes :0

i went out with baby after that, and my babes have been expressing interest to meet him, much to my delight. next time, i told them i’ll arrange one so that we can all get to know each other :) The idea of the most important ppl in my life meeting up is just so exciting! Baby and i went to thai express @ Paragon for dinner because i was so craving for their phat thai beef. i tasted it the other time i went over to meet up with baby’s JC mates.

Well the hols were well spent and im glad i got to enjoy myself for a while before summer term starts next tuesday, yikes, many have expressed utter disgust over the fact that i actually had a summer term. me too folks, me too :(

pictures to elaborate as usual. clearer ones on facebook :)

S is for Summer breaks:)

May 12, 2008 · 5 Comments

The past two weeks have been extremely eventful and lazy. most of the time were spent with baby. both of us are really compatible in a way because we do not seem to have many friends to spent our summer break with except with each other. haha, nevertheless, it was marvellous, simply heaven to be able to meet up every single day! *SCREAMS*

oh and i can finally swim. yeah i know, i can see all of you rolling your eyeballs exposing all your whites after reading that. both of us figured however that, it is better to be late than never and i could’nt tell others that im dating a swimmer but i can’t swim right. actually its more of a runner, swimmer and cyclist but i can do.. erm.. none. (well now its one down). coach WONG has been the kindest to me and its really weird to have your bf saying ‘ok go for another 50m darling, you can do it’. haha i think everyone was staring at me and wondering why the hell is this 20 year old girl only learning how to swim now??!? but the bottomline is that i can, yeah! still undergoing intensive stroke correction but i can move in water. next up would be freestyle.

ok enough of myself. baby has found a temp job as an accountant’s assistant and im so so proud of him. he tells me everyday about graduating with summa cum laude and im truly impressed:) well if smu lives up to its reputation, he should be much more successful than me in more ways than one. thats why im so free now, summer term is starting in a week and since baby has started work, im currently bumming at home. i can foresee myself running off to Winsland house every now and then from now:)

every moment is spent lovingly with baby.

well examinations are drawing near and since i realise my tired brain can no longer take any more studying, i decided to revive this little space here. the past few weeks have been both happy and frustrating at the same time. for one my immune system was officially down for two weeks and i really haven got done to much studying because i was always so lethargic from the medications and feeling really ill. thank goodness i managed to scrape thru marketing presentations with a sore throat and im actually quite pleased that we got much positive comments on it.

all this frustrations and deadlines and being all sick, baby beared all the blunt of it. i guess i was just so tired of all that i had to live up to and the only logical person who would get all of my nonsense would be my boyfriend. well we quarelled (hey i was guilty for starting it) but im glad we’re now even stronger than before and we owe all of this mutual understanding to regular communication. im thankful that baby is confrontational in an excellent sense and it really helps give that im very withdrawal. i never want to sweep issues and problems under the carpet again and our frequent heart to heart talks really makes me feel so happy and treasured. so darling if you’re reading this, i just wanna tell you that i love you:)

On an ending note, the choir concert was great. i finally got to step into a theatre after retiring from perfoming in J2. the company was awesome and im really glad to have familiar faces around me and talk to ppl i have known so long and well. it really is comforting to meet up with old friends in this dog eat dog uni world. I have never gone all out to make many many new friends, yes im not that sociable. so im really happy for my girlfriends, rach, YJ and shihui.

so glad that the 10 page research paper and 12 page marketing report is all completed.

Byee lappie, hello books.

good friday was fab. loved the company but then again im kinda sad that baby had school on sat. nevertheless, we still got to meet up.(at 5. my fault.) good enough for me though.

Love you baby.

I still love saturdays

March 16, 2008 · 9 Comments

Varsity squeeze.

now isn’t that the new talk of the town?

A level holders volunteering to help out at charitable organizations and grabbing internships just to gain testimonials and appraisals that would beef up their uni application form. On hindsight, though i did none of the above, i can’t help but imagine mine with all the frills, would i have flared better. on second thought, i beg to differ and brushed away that thought almost instantaneously. if the heart and passion is non existent, it would be a much better idea to leave the needy alone. no offence meant but if all 19 year olds who are literally the king and queens in their family were to volunteer to help out in childcare centres or old folks home.. i hate to imagine what a big problem that would create. Im skeptical, i admit. All this constant rat race to enroll in numerous CIP programmes and volunteer work just does’nt make sense to me. yes, i do not enjoy getting rejected and would much love to see things going my way for once but to restort to any of the above goes against my principles. community work have become so empty, almost mundane. they have become catch up sessions, meetups to ’slack and talk’, to obtain CIP hours, get close to that particular girl or guy in mind, or simply to ‘gain more experience’. i mean who are we kidding? if your heart is not there, dun do it. leave the trees, kids and the needy alone, they can and will cope without our haphazard ‘help’.

i can choose to continue lamenting over the increasing no of foreign students in all the local Us but i know nothing good would ever come out of it. yes im disappointed, yes im bitter but life never goes my way and i have come to realise the meaning of it as i get older. seeing how baby rushes to meet all his self expectations just sets me thinking even further. what we want may not be the best for us and i have learnt to see the consequences life has thrown me as a result of my own actions and performance as perfect. i will and can learn to love my life. i have the my gfs, my classmates, my family and baby, though nothing in my life is ever perfect, i can be positive and continue to strive for excellence. After what happened all these months, i have learnt to love myself, the people around me and my life to a greater extend.

admist the many project deadlines, final terms, quizes as we’re nearing April, the final month of the spring semester, i will learn to be as accormodating and understanding. and im still looking forward to good friday though baby has three presentations the following week. smu is crazy.( ok im lying, i would die to get in. unfortunately thats not good enough and would never be.)

saturday was basically a study date which became a dinner date at the Raffles Town Club. it ended splendid:) CJ choir concert on 7 april 2008@ VCH! yay! YJ, shihui, Charm go for it pleaseeee!!!

pictures to elaborate as usual.

I LOVE my baby:)

The simplistic love we share:)

February 15, 2008 · 2 Comments

so valentine’s has come and gone.

i absolutely love vday and im just glad that baby got to spend time with me yesterday. we had a simple homecooked meal together and it was absolutely fabulous though i felt bad that i had to subject baby’s stomach to such demeaning torture. haha:) fortunately he was nice enough to shower me with praise!

both of us are gonna be really busy till the end of this sem which is like end april!

already baby has gone through countless presentations and quizzes before mid sem. i on the other hand have loads of deadlines to meet!

1. definition essay due on mon( which i have yet to start research let alone the essay itself)

2. economics mid term group assignment due on the 27 feb

3. marketing individual CASE report and presentations due on the 26

4. Statistics graded homework

5. Statistics mid sem exams on 29 feb

6. english mid sem exams on the 27 feb

wow i just realise i have got loads to do and i really should be getting down to work instead of sitting here in front of my lappie filling this space.

BYEEE:)

Lovely saccharine filled valentine’s surprise:)
